Air cooled engines, electronic equipment, and other machines that produce thermal losses are equipped with fins to increase convection and cool the part. Rather than heat, the fins of the Extended Surface Collection transfer light.
The collection is a study of material and minimal form achieved through the use of integrated, recessed, fully dimmable COB LED light strips. This brings focus to the metal’s milled shape, the varied reflection of light depending on material and finish, and the balance between the industrially produced and the handmade. The system is translated into a table lamp, hanging pendant, standing lamp, wall light, and linear pendant.
